1 Introduction to Gyroscopes

Gyroscopes are sensors used to measure angular rate. Gyroscopes (Gyros) can be single, dual, or triple axis (typically just 3 single axis sensors). These sensors are usually well modeled by a standard second order transfer function. The damping, ζ, is usually LaTeX: \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}} or 1.
