ControlTheoryPro: Welcome to the site devoted to Control Systems

I've only been able to get to about 2 or 3 new articles this a week for a while now. I've also started a blog, Blog at ControlTheoryPro.com, so that on my busy weeks I can at least keep the some fresh content on the site.

New Feature - Blog at ControlTheoryPro.com

The Blog at ControlTheoryPro.com is my new blog. I intend for the blog to be appeal to the larger engineering community as well as the control systems folks. I'll cover topics from engineering education, ITAR, SEO & SEM, and beyond.

New Feature - β ControlTheoryPro.com

Announcing a new feature... Well it's not that old at least. The β site. If you have any interest in contributing to this site but your worried about your wiki markup skills I'd recommend you use the β site for practice.

Enjoy.

Featured Example

A got a lot of good feedback on the Helicopter Hover Example. Thank you to all.

There's a new featured example - Reaction Cancellation Example. The idea behind this example is to show a system where the mass being actuated is large enough that the torque it causes on the larger platform must be cancelled in order for the system to meet performance objectives. As a result, a second mass needs to be actuated in a nearly opposite manner so that the torque from the 2 masses cancel.

Enjoy

Wikipedia is the behemoth it is because of the users. It's page rank dominance is due to people placing links all over the web. It's content is freely provided by well meaning users. Now, in a misguided attempt to protect Wikipedia, many users are making contributors, like myself, unwelcome.
When asking the question, "Are US voters adequately educated in science as it pertains to the upcoming US elections?" Why do people fixate on God and religion? If God gave you free will, then you have an obligation to vote and to be educated when you vote. Including science.
Intellectual property in the USA is outdated and needs serious revision if not wholsesale gutting.

I’m watching the Olympics right now.  And at each medal ceremony we see nationalism.

Unsurprisingly I’m an engineer and I like Science Fiction.  I’ve read a number of Arthur C. Clarke’s latest books.  Along the way these stories suggest a number of dramatic changes for the human race driven by events like Climate Change.

Control Theory is a vast subject area. The web is a great resource for many engineering topics including control theory. There are no all-in-one control systems resources on the web. For many of your basic tasks there are good sites available but you have to hunt and search for them.

The purpose of ControlTheoryPro.com is to house all the knowledge people wish to share about control systems. ControlTheoryPro.com is meant to be a one-stop resource for all things related to control theory. The topics listed are only a subset of the full list of relevant topics. If you have an idea for a new forum or wiki topic I'd like to hear it, email us. If you are student, professional, professor, or hobbyist and have an idea for new content, send it our way.

I've just started learning most of the web related skills necessary for ControlTheoryPro.com so please forgive me and email me when you find errors. In general feel free to email me whenever you have a question or suggestion.
